Fillers, slip agents and texture makers in products are inactive ingredients that are used to create feel, texture, lubrication and bulk. Fillers don’t enhance the product's effectiveness in any way, they’re not necessarily there for your skin. If you’re wondering why they’re used, primarily it’s to give a product “texture/slip”, and to fill out the product, making it less expensive to produce. When fillers, texture makers and slip agents sit on your skin they can cause acne, wrinkles, as well as other adverse reactions.
